Middle
Earth Flying School has been the culmination of the lifetime of passion for the
aviation industry for its directors – Malcolm Reynolds and David Giles. Veteran
pilots both, they joined hands to set up MEFS in 2007. Based out of the Waharoa
Airfield at Matamata, Middle Earth trains for private pilot licenses plus all
other certifications required by CAA.
All the senior instructors have come from an airline pilots background and are committed to return to students the knowledge gained.

Our CEO and Fellow Instructor, Malcolm Reynolds. A flying enthusiast and seasoned pilot ,who has flown for Air New Zealand, Malcolm Reynolds is a qualified instructor with years of experience. |

Our Chief Flying Instructor, David Giles. David has been flying for close to four decades now and is currently employed with PARC aviation. |
