                                  MEFS policy is to provide the highest standard of flight training at an affordable price with the emphasis on a total safety environment. It is our aim to make the training process as enjoyable as possible.

                                  ICAO Commercial Pilot License (CPL): 

                                  The next step after PPL is to work towards your CPL. This license allows pilots to carry fare-paying passengers and hence it's the pre-requisite for a career in aviation. One has to be 18 or older to qualify and must clear a Class I medical examination. Flight time requirements for ICAO CPL are 200 hours total including:
                                  • 100 hours pilot in command time
                                  • 30 hours cross country navigation
                                  • 15 hours dual cross country navigation
                                  • 15 hours solo cross country navigation
                                  • 10 hours instrument time

                                  Further, the candidates need to meet the requirements set out below:
                                  • 18 years of age for PPL
                                  • Class 1 medical certificate
                                  • Passes in: CPL Aviation Law and Publications
                                                     CPL Human Factors
                                                     CPL Meteorology
                                                     CPL Navigation
                                                     CPL Principles of Flight
                                                     CPL Aircraft Technical Knowledge

                                  Theory Courses:

                                  MEFS can arrange for theory courses on a need-to-need basis. The ground subjects can be completed within 3 months. Please contact us for further details.

                                  Course Duration & Pricing:

                                  Full-time students can complete their CPL in 8-10 months (practical only). The ICAO CPL costs $48,369 (including ground subjects tuition worth $4979). The ground subjects can be self-studied to reduce costs.
